Dream Books Co.’s Founder and President David Chung Named as a Denver Business Journal 2025 Small Business Leader Award Honoree
DENVER, CO – Friday, March 28, 2025 – The Denver Business Journal has announced that David Chung, Founder and President of Dream Books Co., has been named an honoree in the inaugural class of the Small Business Leaders awards program for 2025.
The Small Business Leaders Awards recognize the individuals behind some of the region’s most impactful small businesses. The program celebrates the passion, vision, and community leadership that power Colorado’s entrepreneurial spirit. Honorees were selected based on their leadership within their organization and their broader impact on the Denver metro community.
Chung founded Dream Books Co. in 2008 with a mission to give books new life and reduce waste through sustainable recirculation. What began as a local effort to resell and recycle used books has grown into a thriving, community-minded business that supports libraries, schools, and nonprofit organizations while serving customers across the country through its online store and marketplace channels.
“It’s both humbling and a sincere honor to be an award honoree of Small Business Leader among such incredible and respected leaders,” said Chung. “This award would not have been possible without the passion and resilience from my team, our terrific community partners, and customers. I want to thank Denver Business Journal and congratulate all the other award honorees.”
The 2025 Small Business Leaders honorees will be recognized at a celebratory cocktail reception on May 22 at Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House, Studio Loft. Insights and profiles from the honorees will be featured in a special awards section of the Denver Business Journal on May 23.
