About Dream Books Co.

Our Mission: Impactful services for community organizations.

At Dream Books Co., our work goes beyond recycling books. We partner with libraries, schools, and community organizations to give books a second life, reducing waste while promoting literacy and sustainability. Every pickup we make and every partner we serve is part of that larger goal.

About This Position: Driver Supervisor

We are looking for a Driver Supervisor who is first and foremost a great people manager and a strong relationship builder. This is a role for someone who likes being around people, solving problems, and getting out from behind the desk.

Most of the old paperwork side of this job is now automated, so your energy goes where it matters: leading our drivers, and being the face of Dream Books to the schools, libraries, and partners we work with. On the logistics and operations side, you are the main point of contact for our partners. You will visit them in person, learn what challenges they are running into, and bring what you hear back to our team so we can keep improving how we serve them. Our partnerships team handles billing and account administration, so you can focus on the operational relationship.

You will also stay close to the actual work. Expect to be out on the road at least once a week, and to step in and cover routes when a driver needs time off. That keeps you connected to your team and to the day-to-day reality of the job.

We are looking to fill this position by August 2026.

What You'll Do

- Manage, coach, and advocate for our team of drivers, including performance check-ins, driver development, and being the person they can count on.
- Serve as the main point of contact for partners on everything logistics and operations: pickups, scheduling, coverage, and how their material moves. Our partnerships team owns billing and account administration.
- Get out on the road at least once a week, and cover driver routes when someone is out.
- Listen to the challenges our partners face and translate them into process improvements with our team.
- Keep safety front and center, from driver habits to vehicle upkeep and maintenance schedules.
- Stay organized while juggling several priorities at once, from driver coverage to partner visits to route coordination.
- Keep an eye on the health of our fleet, equipment, and work areas.

What We're Looking For

- Previous driving experience, including at least 1 year driving a 16' box truck or similarly sized vehicle. A strong safety record matters to us.
- At least 1 year of managing or leading a team. We will train you on the specifics of the role.
- Someone personable who genuinely enjoys working with people, both our drivers and our partners.
- Organized and able to keep several things moving at once without dropping the ball.
- Comfortable representing the company to partners, schools, libraries, and the public.
- Able to operate everyday technology like GPS, backup cameras, routing software, and basic computer functions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to pass a DOT physical, and final candidates must pass a background check.
- Physically able to meet the demands of the job, including lifting 20 to 40 lbs.

Compensation

Starting pay is $23.23. This position's pay range is $23.23 to $25.55 per hour, depending on performance.

Benefits

- PTO Benefits
- Paid Holidays Off
- Paid Sick Leave
- Monthly Healthcare Stipend
- Commuter Benefit (RTD EcoPass)
